Need an Official Record?
Use these routes for the records most often requested in Lamar County:
- Court case files: use the court case lookup guide or contact the clerk for the court that heard the matter
- Criminal-history records: contact GBI's Georgia Crime Information Center or a participating local law-enforcement agency
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Lamar County Sheriff's Office
- Local name check: appear at the Lamar sheriff with photo identification and the required consent form
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Record restriction and sealing: follow the prosecutor, arresting-agency, GCIC, and court route that applies to the case
